The Role
As an Early Years Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the development of learners embarking on their career journey in early childhood education. Your mission is to inspire, guide, and assess learners as they work towards achieving qualifications that prepare them to shape young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess & Mentor: Support learners by assessing their work, providing constructive feedback, and motivating them to excel.
- Personalised Coaching: Tailor learning plans to suit individual needs, helping learners achieve their goals.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure assessments are conducted in line with national and Swift standards and maintain meticulous records of progress.
- Build Relationships: Collaborate with learners, employers, and stakeholders to deliver a seamless, supportive learning experience.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with developments in early years education and qualifications to ensure best practices.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a proactive, passionate, and detail-oriented individual with:
Qualifications:
- A recognised Assessor qualification (such as CAVA, A1, or equivalent). (Desirable)
- A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years or Childcare.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in the Early Years sector.
- Previous experience in assessing or mentoring learners (Desirable)
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple learners and deadlines.
- A knack for inspiring and motivating others to reach their full potential.
