Meeting our Employers - National Apprenticeship Week 2022

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2022, we visited Turtles Nursery, Hatching Dragons City and Hatching Dragons Westminster. Our employers welcomed us into their lovely nursery settings and showed us how they are ran. It was such a rewarding experience to see our apprentices in action at work. The apprentices are currently on track to achieving their Level 3 EYE (Early Years Educator) qualification.

As a Digital Marking Apprentice my aim for this trip was to gather content to use across our social media pages such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. This trip gave me the opportunity to introduce myself to our employers and learners face-to-face.

From receiving our apprentice applications online to communicating with them over the phone, running through our interview process and finding them a suitable setting. Their progress in such a short space of time reminded us of the importance of our roles and our organisation in developing the next generation of childcare professionals.

Overall it was a wonderful experience to meet our employers and apprentices face-to-face. The feedback that we received from both parties was very positive and we are looking to have more successful trips across the year.

Here's what one of our employers had to say:

“The whole process has been amazing from the beginning to the end, Lisa has been supportive in the selection process up until the end of hiring of each apprentice. Yes, every apprentice hired through Swift have brought value to the staff teams and children within the room, each apprentice has their own skills sets and although they are learning they are an asset to our organisation.”
