National Minimum wage for Apprentices – are you receiving the correct rate of pay?
The National Minimum Wage for apprentices will rise by 21.2% on the 1st of April 2024.
The previous rate for apprentices was £5.28 which has now increased to £6.40.
Apprentices that are within the first year of their apprenticeship are legally entitled to at least the apprenticeship National Minimum Wage pay rate of £6.40 per hour. But for apprentices that are aged 19 or over and have completed the first year of their apprenticeship, they are legally entitled to the National Living and Minimum Wage rates relevant to their age group.
