Muddy Puddles has existed as a preschool since the year 2000. Originally named Stepping Stones and based in Surbiton, in September 2017 they relocated to Long Ditton and in July 2020 re-branded as Muddy Puddles. The setting is a much-loved not-for-profit pre-school that has been operating for almost 20 years in various locations.
Muddy Puddles believes positive early childhood experiences are invaluable in shape
children’s approach towards learning.
They encourage the children to be curious, imaginative, independent and, most of all, to love learning! The children access a rich play environment with a free-flow garden and the amazing location to explore outdoors.
Part of being the Muddle Puddles team means you will be in the woods 3 days a week. You will enjoy nature, singing and music are an advantage.
Extra's like nature club, cooking and music clubs are also provided for the children!
Muddy Puddles are an Outstanding Ofsted graded Preschool looking for an Early Years practitioner apprentice.
The main responsibilities of this job role will include:
- Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
- Being a team player.
- Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children
- Taking part in First Aid training as required
- Working with teams across the nursery setting
- Supporting children’s learning and development.
- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children. Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
- Supporting children’s self-help needs.
- Being creative and enthusiastic.
- Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
In addition to on-the-job training, you will receive support from an assessor and mentor throughout your apprenticeship, and your classroom days will be based online.
