At both of their settings they follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Planning is child led and child initiated with focused activities planned to support the children’s individual interests. Children choose topical themes which help to stimulate their imagination and creativity. All of the children have access to an exciting range of toys and resources on a daily basis which are selected to enhance their learning experiences in a creative and challenging environment.  The rooms are big, bright and airy with an unusual amount of floor space and are decorated to ensure the children feel cosy and secure. They are fortunate enough to have large outdoor play areas, designed and equipped to stimulate and encourage their little explorers. They also offer lots of extra curricular activities such as sport and dance tuition as well as lots of interesting trips and visits throughout the year.

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:

  • Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
  • Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
  • Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
  • Being a team player.
  • Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children
  • Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
  • Working with teams across the nursery setting
  • Supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
  • Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
  • Supporting children’s self-help needs.
  • Being creative and enthusiastic.
  • Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Career Progression:

Developing into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential of a full time position upon successful completion. Other prospects could include applying for :

Continuous development in current nursery setting..... Room Leader positions/ Possible management training, Springboard into primary education, Paediatric nursing and many many more 

This is a 14 month Apprenticeship and you will be working for a minimum of 30 hours a week in one of our Nurseries.
