Within working hours: Training sessions held during standard working hours, seamlessly fitting into your workday.
Twilight sessions: Sessions outside of work hours, helping balance work and study commitments.
Impact sessions: One-to-one support designed to address your individual learning needs and ensure success.
This flexible approach ensures you can manage both work and learning while progressing in your childcare career.
PHASE ONE: THE ESSENTIALS
Phase 1: The Essentials (Weeks 1-8)
The programme begins with an introduction to key childcare topics, such as supporting child development in early years settings. Through online lectures, you’ll learn the essentials needed to positively impact children’s well-being and growth. This foundational phase prepares you to confidently apply your knowledge in the nursery, building a strong foundation for your continued professional development.
PHASE 2: THE CORE
Phase 2: Practical Application (Months 3-6)
In this phase, you’ll receive personalised guidance from an assessor to apply your skills in real childcare settings. This hands-on experience lets you demonstrate your learning while receiving valuable feedback to improve your practice. The focus is on enhancing practical expertise and bridging the gap between theory and real-world application. By the end of this phase, you will be ready to implement your skills with confidence and excel in your role within a nursery environment.
PHASE 3: ENHANCEMENT
Phase 3: Advanced Practice (Months 7-10)
This phase helps you become a confident, independent early years educator. You’ll dive deeper into childcare methods and child development theories, empowering you to create engaging learning environments.
You’ll learn to adapt to the needs of diverse children and handle various situations in a nursery setting. By the end of this phase, you will be ready to effectively support children’s development and learning in any early years setting.
