A Comprehensive Childcare Training Journey
Our 13-month childcare apprenticeship programme is designed in four phases to help apprentices develop essential skills through hands-on experience. Each stage focuses on practical learning, empowering your team to apply new knowledge directly in the childcare setting.
With expert guidance, your staff will gain the confidence and expertise needed to make a lasting impact on the children in their care, contributing to both their own professional growth and the development of your childcare setting.
PHASE ONE: THE ESSENTIALS
Phase 1: The Essentials (Weeks 1-8)
This introductory phase ensures they acquire crucial knowledge to positively impact children’s development. By the end, your team will be prepared to apply what they’ve learned with confidence in a real nursery environment, setting them up for further growth and success.
PHASE 2: THE CORE
Phase 2: Practical Application (Months 3-6)
In this phase, your staff will receive personalised coaching from an assessor to put their skills into practice in real childcare environments. This hands-on training helps them refine their abilities while bridging the gap between theory and practice. With feedback and guidance, they will grow their practical expertise, ensuring they are fully prepared to confidently apply their learning in the nursery setting.
PHASE 3: ENHANCEMENT
Phase 3: Advanced Practice (Months 7-10)
Staff will deepen their knowledge of safeguarding and whistleblowing procedures, learning how to create a safe and inclusive environment for children. This phase focuses on identifying and addressing safeguarding concerns while ensuring whistleblowing standards are maintained.
By the end of the training, staff will be confident in recognising potential risks and taking appropriate actions to protect the well-being of children and staff members, ensuring a safe and supportive nursery environment for everyone involved.
